Happy Labor Day🙌🏻

818ABA26-3EAC-400E-95F2-4AA80EA56A62Much as there’s a lot of fuss over this holiday  particularly in NY. The frenzy around it is a little too much for me so I tend to seize the time to do more productive or self gratifiying activities. Traditionally I will relax alone or with the fam, read a stimulating book or just binge on my favorite Netflix show with a glass of chilled drink. Today I plan on doing the latter. Hope you all have an enjoyable one.

Now to look four of the lovely  Ankara Romper. I have always loved shorts because they make me comfortable, enlongate my silhouette and allow me enjoy free flowing cool breeze. The feeling, you will agree,  is second to none! I styled the romper as Peplum shorts here. To achieve this I started by folding in/down the upper part of the romper and pulling out the extra clothing around it to form a beautiful peplum over the shorts.

I wore a blue mesh body suit I scored off a local boutique few years back. I decided to wear this bodysuits to reduce bulk and the clumsiness that might arise from doubling up the romper at the waistline to form Peplum shorts. I added an extra wide black waist belt to define the waistsline. I love how the belt give the impression of an hour glass figure 😁 and accentuates my small frame.

I finished off my look with embroidered blue Gianvitto Rossi Pumps from Yoox I accessorized with my favorite sunnies from Standing Ovation, H&M silver floral earrings, blue hat from Burlington Coat Factory and silver studded black mini bucket bag from Shoptiques Do you like?
Where would you wear this to?

Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful week ahead!
